This application stack facilitates deployment of WordPress publishing platform.
WordPress is a publishing platform. It emphasizes aesthetics, adheres to web standards, and makes usability/ ease of use a feature to attract users to this publishing medium. WordPress was started in 2003 and has grown to become the largest self-hosted blogging tool. While millions would have published on the medium, it attracts a large number of visitors to the individual sites because of its reputation. This application stack makes publishing on the WordPress easier. The installer supplied makes the installation a completely an automatic process. Being self contained, these stacks do not need any other software to operate properly and the stacks are integrated completely so that, it does not create any interference either. The stack code is also completely relocatable. Thus you could install it in any directory and run multiple instances of it too.
Besides the native installer, there are several other forms of it available. It can be installed in a virtual machine, cloud environments as well as modules over an already installed infrastructure. These are self contained too. For example, virtual machine images contain a minimal Linux operating system and a fully configured BitNami application stack. Running virtual machine images would need the expertise of a system administrators and advanced users as the images need to work with a hypervisor such as VMWare or VirtualBox. Cloud installers are available for the Amazon cloud as of now with more to follow. You could use the cloud hosting from the same publisher to iron out your applications for the Amazon cloud.
